New Bern for the 4th

Last night, a friend of mine and I decided to eat a late dinner in New Bern instead of staying in town.  When we got to the Outback Steakhouse, the traffic was backed up for miles….for the fireworks.  Many people were parked in the Outback parking lot for the fireworks and it was difficult to find a place to park.  The staff of the restaurant allowed us to park in the take away parking place due to the circumstances.  It happened that our seat was the best place to view the fireworks.  Things just happen, huh?
